Invitation to Come to Jesus

25 At  that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You,  Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You  have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to  babes. 26 Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the  one to whom the Son wills to reveal  Him.  28 Come to  Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle  and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is  light.”   Matthew 11: 25-30

Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi

Picture
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is  hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is  doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness,  light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

 O Divine Master, grant
that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be  understood as to understand; to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving  that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen

Serenity Prayer

Picture
God grant me the  serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the  difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting  hardships as the pathway to peace;

Taking, as He did, this sinful
world as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right

if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in
this life  and supremely happy with Him  Forever in the next.  Amen.
